Lester Daramy Obituary

Sometimes the best gems come from the hardest rocks, and it may be hard to really understand their beauty because you can’t wrap your mind around the work it would take to crack them. Although beauty lies within, we often miss it, because our eyes are stuck on the rock. To us that rock looks bad, but to the gem, that rock is a hero. And yes, the rock may block the gem’s beauty but it also blocks its pain. Yet when the rock wears down and the gem’s beauty is exposed, you have no choice but to fall in love. Omar may have had a rough exterior but he was a beautiful person to his family and to the people who really knew and loved him

Lester Omar Daramy affectionately known as “Oski Love”, “Omer Domer” or as a child, “Obie”, was born on August 20, 1983 to Resia Daramy and Lester Robinson. Omar was the youngest of three sons. His mother Resia Daramy and brother, Karamoh Daramy both preceded him in death.

Omar attended Prayer Chapel Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Pastor Jesse Cranford and Co-Pastor Lady Jacqueline Cranford. He leaves to cherish his memory, his children Amya Waddy, Cloe Daramy and Camron Daramy; his brother Kabba Daramy; his dearest aunts Rosemary Porter, Gwendolyn Turner, Alice Turner and Kerry Turner; his uncle Thomas Turner; his special cousins James Hall, Ramone Turner, Thomas Turner and a host of many more nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends whom he loved dearly.

“What's up cuz? I still can't believe that you’re gone, but your soul and spirit are always in my heart. I can't help but think about the last time we talked. I said ‘O, I need your help with this garage door’, and you said ‘That's it? I thought we was about to tear the city up’. All I could do was laugh and shake my head. But you always held me down when I needed you, so you know its not goodbye bro. I will see you later. Luv Ray”             Ramone Turner

“Words can’t express how I feel. I’m going to truly miss you big cuz.”          Thomas Turner

“My bother, my cousin, my friend, I will always love you and miss you.”       James Hall
