James Richard McGraw was born on January 29, 1951 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Clement and Margaret Dunn-McGraw.
He graduated from Denby High School in 1969. He was employed at The Detroit Free Press for many years. He played with the Detroit Printers Baseball Team. He was very athletic. He loved baseball and bowling.
Jim had a heart of gold and loved children. He loved to travel, good with geography would teach you a lot about countries. He also loved Halloween and watched all scary movies. He loved all the grandchildren. His favorite pets were Diesel the dog, and Zeppelin his cat, which was his heart.
He is survived by his children, Christina, Richard, Matthew, Robert, Adrian Fields, Priscilla (Ron), Urieff, Charlie Saari, grandchildren, Christian, Johnny, Chase, Jesse, Edward, Charlie, Avalina, Paisley, Chance and Nicolas James; nephew Sean (Lindsey) McGraw. Also survived by his ex-wife Judy & Charles Saari, loving companion Kim Rinehart, Sisters in law, Linda (the late Jerry), Donna (Dave) Skorupski, Robin (Mark) Nadolski, Rose (Paul) Lupo, Deanna McGraw, and the late Robert Peek, and extended family and friends. Aside from his loving parents, James was preceded in death by his brother Thomas McGraw.
