Eleanor Jane Bradford (“Janie Girl”) was born on July 12, 1967 in Detroit, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jacqueline Bradford and brother, Bernard Bradford.
Eleanor accepted Jesus Christ at an early age. She was the eldest of three brothers, whom she loved, protected and raised. She was tough with a big heart and took care of everyone. She was everyone’s favorite, life of the party and would always brighten up your day with a good laugh!
Eleanor was educated in the Detroit Public School System. She worked at Joe Louis Arena and Ford Field as a supervisor for many years. She was a hard worker and provided opportunities to so many. She mentored others and had a way of uplifting everyone she met. She was very outspoken, genuine and well-respected.
Eleanor truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures and devoted much of her time to family and friends, cooking, partying and enjoying her “nana’s” (grandchildren)! She was the rock that held the family together. Everyone loved “Janie Girl” and she opened her doors to all who sought love, hope and refuge. Her biggest aspiration was her children’s success and that made her most proud. She will forever be honored for her phenomenal independence, amazing strength and leadership.
