Devante’ LaRone Taylor was born in Detroit, Michigan, to his loving parents, Vawanna Taylor and Clyde Hutson. From an early age, Devante’ displayed a vibrant personality, a caring heart, and determination to succeed.
Devante’ was educated in the Detroit Public School system and graduated from Davis Aerospace Technical High School, where he earned his pilot's license. He continued his education at Wayne County Community College and Eastern Michigan University, earning an Associate Degree. Dedicated to expanding his knowledge and skills, Devante’ also obtained multiple certifications in HVAC, Refrigeration, and Electrical Technology.
In 2021, Devante’ began his career with Stellantis as a Production Line Worker, later receiving a promotion for his hard work. He took pride in his work and remained a dedicated employee until his passing. His strong work ethic, dependability, and commitment to providing for his family were qualities that earned the respect of those who worked alongside him.
Devante’ was known for his larger-than-life personality, infectious smile, comical jokes, and willingness to help anyone in need. He never met a stranger and had a special love for children. His caring nature was evident through acts of kindness, including standing in as a father figure at Father-Daughter dances and serving as a fill-in dad to Laylah Allen, Layanah Allen, Legend Frazier, and many other children whose lives were touched by his presence. His generosity, compassion, and selflessness touched countless lives.
One of Devante's greatest joys was being a father to his beloved daughter, Taylor Morgan Coleman who was born in January of 2015. She was the light of his life, and he treasured every moment spent with her.
On June 14, 2026, Devante’ went from labor to reward surrounded by family and friends; leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and service to others.
He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Taylor Morgan Coleman; his mother, Vawanna Taylor; his father, Clyde Hutson; his bonus father, Emmanuel Taylor; his grandmothers, Josephine Taylor; Gloria Rone (Emmett); and his special friends Jennifer Ashford, Jakya Coleman, and Page Bledsoe.
Furthermore, Devante’ is survived by his brothers: Davon Taylor, Donovan Taylor, Clyde Hall Jr. (Erica), Curtis Hall, Corey Hutson, D’ontae Hutson, D’ontez Hutson, Jovanta Hutson, Braylen Hutson, DeAngelo Harris, and Christopher Taylor and his sisters Crinishia Taylor (Brandon), Crystal Terry (Donell), Maurica Taylor, Kenyatta Jordan (Michael), Ayanna Harris, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his step-father Kelvin Shermon and his brothers, Curry Hall and Colins Harris.
Though our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we find comfort in the memories he created, the lives he touched, and the love he shared. Devante's spirit will continue to live on through all those who knew and loved him. May his legacy and memory always be cherished.
