Vanita Antoinette Haliburton (Green) was born on June 5, 1962 in Detroit, Michigan to Georgia Heard-Green and the late Wesley Green. She was educated in the Detroit Public School system and always loved going to school and learning new things. Vanita accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her person Savior and was baptized at New Southern Missionary Baptist Church.
Vanita was blessed with three beautiful children, Tanisha, Andrew and Quaneece and was a widow to the late James Randolph Haliburton. Vanita was a seamstress and began making her own clothes at a very young age. She loved to create fashion clothing designs and ladies’ high heels. Everyone knows that Vanita was known for her superior fashion sense and high heel shoe collection. Whenever she went out in public, she made sure that she was dressed to impress and matching from head to toe.
Vanita had an exuberant and vivacious personality and made lifelong friends everywhere she went, she never met a stranger. She said what she meant and she meant what she said, and she prided herself in that. Vanita had a beautiful voice and was a part of a singing group. Whatever, Vanita did she did it with style and grace; she was the epitome of a classy woman. She lived her life singing and dancing to her own song and living life to the fullest.
On May 3, 2019, Vanita unexpectedly departed from this life to be with Jesus Christ and her loved ones who have gone on before her. She loved her family and friends dearly and her bright spirit will leave a hole in the heart of all who loved her.
