Michael A. Pore

Michael Allen Pore was born on July 17, 1959 to his parents Johnella Ruffin and James Pore. He received his education from the Detroit Public schools. He required a strong work ethic and began to work for Grosse Pointe Yacht Club as a Chef for over ten years. He then pursued a career in ground maintenance for over twenty years. He was quiet reserved person who enjoyed sport and barbecuing.

Michael is known by his family as “The Barbe Q King”.

Michael leaves to cherish his memories, his three children: Nicole Washington, Michael and Demetris Appleton; mother, Johnella Ruffin; sister, Evelyn Pore (a.k.a. Sweetie); two brothers: James Pore and Marco Johnson; his 9 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins who will miss him dearly.
