Michael Burnett

Michael (Miquan) Timothy Burnett was born on August 27, 1996 to proud parents Michael and Philicia Burnett. He was the youngest of 3 children. Even as a child, Michael's personality commanded attention. Affectionately known as "Quanny" he was instantly loved by all. He was kind of a quiet child but was always surrounded by friends. That soft spoken, easy going nature would become the very attributes that claimed the love of many of us today.

Growing up, Michael loved playing sports, although, not every sport loved him back. He finally found his niche in baseball, which he played for several years. Michael attended Detroit Edison Public School Academy from Elementary through High School. After a brief absence when he attended Lakeshore High, Michael returned home to DEPSA to graduate with his many lifelong friends. After High School graduation, Michael went on to attend Michigan State University, where he flourished as a leader. Throughout his time at MSU, Mike developed relationships and sparked friendships that earned him the respect of many of his peers.

Michael leaves behind a legacy to be remembered and shared by his parents, Michael and Philicia; sister: Valeria and Anntreal; longtime girlfriend Lydia; two nieces, Braelyn and Amiya; three nephews: Hayden, Logan, and Peyton, along with a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
