I was honored to be a friend of lovely Lorraine and her family, including her mother, her husband, her children, and her brother Robert Galdys -- my best male friend in the world -- for 55 years. Over those years, my brother Dave Urban and I would visit Lorraine and her family frequently when Bob was in town from California where he has lived for decades with his beautiful wife Pat. Lorraine and Richard always welcomed us into their home with great warmth, food, drink, and lots of healthy laughter during our visits in their home. My children's father, Dennis Czuchaj, was a friend of the Zurawski and Galdys families as well. I will always cherish the fun that we had with them and feel that I am a richer person today to have shared such caring Polish celebrations with Lorraine. She was a fabulous Polish cook and very generous to all of her guests. I'll always be grateful to have shared a part of her life.
