I take pen in hand and will attempt to keep this short and sweet.

Nobody can relay this journey that I took better than, who?? Right, Me!!

Ernest Joseph Sullivan, Jr. was born to the most magnificent Parents the Good Lord could have put on earth, Ernest Joseph Sullivan, Sr. and Stella Mae Sullivan. He called them both to Heaven some time ago.

Back in the day, as they say, I conformed to the norm like everyone else. Nicknamed “Pete”, I went to school, attended Church with my Family, was baptized at 12, and started working at 13. I soon realized that I was not meant to follow the path of the majority. I might mention that having a different lifestyle was nearly totally unacceptable, back in the day. It’s the in thing now to be gay, after all, who do you think convinced Ellen to come out?? Right, Me!! LOL

I was fortunate, I had a loving Family who loved me unconditionally and supported my choices in life. With Cookbook in hand, I ventured to Chicago where I quickly found work in various restaurants. I’ve always been a quick study, so within a short time and a few classes, I became an Executive Chef and Decorator Extraordinaire. Everyone loved me, after all, I was a good looking, talented Man. I was nicknamed “Foxy”; thus, “Foxx” was created. To fit in the money circles, Ernest just wouldn’t fly, so I changed my name legally to Lee Ko. Boy did that work! I was in demand. Thank God for light brown eyes and dimples.

I have traveled the world, worked in top notch restaurants and Country Clubs. Decorated elegant venues, and cooked for Dignitaries. No brag, just fact, Mary! I did it MY way. Who do you think told Frank Sinatra to do it his way?? Right, Me!! LOL

Well, I got a dated with Mama and Daddy, so I’ll close. Remember, Don’t cry for Me Argentina. OK, go ahead and cry a little, but after you dry your eyes, rejoice in the fact that I know I was loved and I loved all of you.

Smiling, Remembering Good Times and Wiping Tears: Sisters, Gwen and Francetta (Freecie), Nieces, Staci and DelMair, Nephews, Jalen (Budda) and Mitchell (Junior), The Person Who Takes Care of Our Family, Brother-in-law Robert Draughn. Lifelong Friends, Lee Palazzoni and Sharina Caldwell. Too many other friends and family to name, but leaving none out.
